We Recommend...
tMS are not in deliberate competition with any restaurant, coffee lounge or late night bar. We believe in developing genuine hospitality, innovation and kindness throughout the hospitality industry. In our quest to develop such a network we will gladly recommend any local establishment where we feel affiliation.
Backstreet Bistro, Sturton Street, Cambridge
Jan 2010
Following an earlier visit from our colleague Sockateer last week we decided to visit. A chilly Saturday night with Socaholic and Soctastic was soon warmed with the friendliness and humour of the Bistro staff, an original warm interior with a great outdoor courtyard space. We promise not to pinch any of the ideas but our visit did stimulate our own conversation to create more of our own. Please excuse us if we have our theme score and lyrics written on the walls of our ‘fun corner’. Viewing the website and delving a little it was great to discover more in the values and fun of the Backstreet Bistro. Food menu was varied, we had time only for a snack but worth every penny, the bill delivered with a WOW and a family style farewell. It was also great to see and share our passion for champagne cocktails, varied beer and wine selections. We certainly recommend. To our new friends in the Backstreet Bistro... thanks for a pleasurable experience, we will return before our opening. Browse at www.back-street.co.uk
The next two restaurant and bar venues were more typical, culminating in an ASBO from a Slovakian beauty ....my cocktail stick was too noisy.
More to follow... but they are rare
Between painting coats we have shortlisted for tastings The Vaults, Riverside Brasserie, Chop House, Brasserie Gerard, Calcutta Club, De Luca Cucina.
